The WW family has grown further with the acquisition of two companies.

Danish wind-power company Øer has been acquired by the NorSea Group, which is 40 % owned by the WW group. Øer was founded in 1963 and carries out technical maintenance, repair work and installation of wind turbines in Denmark, Germany, the UK and France.

Their 120 employees include skilled machinists, electricians, blacksmiths, certificate welders, mechanics and fibre technicians.

Norwegian rope manufacturer Timm AS has been acquired by WSS.

“Timm ropes will still be produced in Slovakia and so the production will remain as it is,” explains managing director Tore Strand. “Timm in Norway will be integrated into the technical management team at WSS and move into their offices at Lysaker, Norway early in 2016. We look forward to carrying on the tradition from 1772 to deliver great ropes worldwide together with the WSS team.” See page 11 –  13 for more about Timm.
